You got a tattoo some time ago and now you want to remove it.
It can be for a plethora of reasons. Maybe you didn’t quite like the design or the ink. Perhaps the tattoo means nothing to you. Or you are applying for civil services. The list goes on and on.
What if there was a convenient cream to remove the tattoo? What if you could apply a few drops of lotion and the tattoo disappears in a few days? Can medical science do that?
According to the popular health website healthline.com, tattoo removal creams are applied to tattooed skin in hopes of erasing the ink. Many are available in department stores or online retailers, but there’s little evidence that tattoo removal creams actually remove tattoos.
Take note of the last sentence. This website says there is very little evidence that tattoo removal creams actually do what they promise. And yet there are hundreds of companies that manufacture these creams and equally more advertisements about their efficacies.
While some cream manufacturers state that such cream can only make your tattoo less noticeable, some go to great lengths harking that these creams are 100% effective.
To understand why tattoo removal creams do not work, or whether they do, you first need to understand your tattoo.
Basically, the tattoo ink that your tattoo artist uses is heavy metal. A tattoo machine is nothing but a sterilized set of needles that injects the heavy metal inside the skin surface and in the inner layer, the dermis. Your tattoo artist uses a different kind of heavy metal depending on the color of the ink needed.
However, since this is a foreign particle, your immune system will immediately try to remove it from the body. Since the heavy metal particles are greater than the tiny white blood cells, they can’t be removed right away. Nevertheless, your body will gradually work to remove it. This is why a tattoo appears less sharp and faded with age.
Since tattoo ink is punched deep inside the skin, a cream can not remove it.
Unfortunately, skincare creams are barely absorbed by the skin. They simply sit on the surface. Now, you might be thinking “but after using the cream, my skin looks and feels soft and hydrated.” All you are feeling, however, is the layer of cream on top of your skin.
What actually happens is that the water content of the cream evaporates relatively quickly, leaving little trace on your skin. In contrast, the fat content of the cream simply sits on top of the skin and is washed away after showering or washing your hands.
It is therefore the texture of the cream that we perceive as being soft and hydrated – not the skin. If everything that fell on your skin was absorbed, your body would be intoxicated so easily. The skin does not allow that.
Thus, believing that a cream, that does not even penetrate the skin, can remote the deeply ingrained tattoo is nonsensical.
These creams claim to remove tattoos by bleaching or peeling away the top layer of your skin (epidermis). However, the tattoo ink is deeper than that: in the dermis. Thus, all these creams will do is bleach and peel away your outer skin with no effects on the actual tattoo.
Tattoo removal creams also carry serious side effects, including burning and scarring.
Tattoo removal creams also contain chemicals, such as the peeling agent trichloroacetic acid. Although trichloroacetic acid is used by skin doctors, it is not safe to use such a chemical at home without supervision.
Hold on. Do not be discouraged so soon.
Tattoos can actually be removed completely, just not by a magical cream. It is not that easy, but it is not impossible. We can remove your tattoo!
We previously said that a tattoo is nothing but a heavy metal punched deep into the skin. Apparently, they look permanent.
But what if we could break the heavy metals into even smaller fragments so that your white blood cells can easily deal with them and remove them from the body?
This is exactly what is done in the laser tattoo removal procedure.
Laser tattoo removal is a boon of modern science that allows you to get rid of the tattoo that is “permanent.” This is ironic, but the so-called permanent tattoos can now be easily removed.
The intense, fast-pulsed laser beams break these metal particles and the body’s white blood cells carry them to the liver, from where it is sent to the excretory system.
Tattoos defer from each other in terms of the type of ink used, the intensity of the penetration, and how deep the ink reacted with the skin tissues.
Thus, depending on the type of pigment that your tattoo artist used, we might need different kinds of laser beams to get rid of the tattoo. In general, black tattoos are the easiest to remove because the color black absorbs all the wavelengths of the laser beam. Meanwhile, other colors like red, green, or blue only absorb the laser beam partially and hence need special treatment procedures.
With a series of treatments, the tattoo is removed layer by layer. Basically, the laser fragments the tattoo ink and your body removes these tiny fragments from the skin tissues.
Note that we said a series of treatments and not a single treatment. This is not because we want to give you more hassles or want to charge you more for the same service. It is that the skin tissue is a very delicate part of the human body. If we put it through intense laser treatment and try to remove the tattoo at once, we might end up damaging the skin.
If we try to overdo it, you might overwhelm the skin, and marks might be left over, sometimes even scarring.
The tattoo that you got certainly hurt going in. Hence, it is obviously gonna hurt going out. Of all the good things that laser tattoo removal is, there is one thing it is not: It is not painless.
The pain is temporary and tolerable. But you have to make sure you don’t get left with scars or a badly done removal. This is why you need an experienced tattoo removal professional.
Things to know before removing your tattoo
1. The type of laser being used.
2. How much injury will the procedure cause to the skin.
3. Do not try to remove a large tattoo at a single session. Too much of the ink might get dispersed into the circulation, which may lead to complications.
4. Due to the natural wound healing phenomenon, swelling is common but ask your treatment provider about the post-removal care measures.
On that note, let us introduce you to Mr. Rajan Tajha.

He is extremely well-spoken with his clients, but his actions and results certainly speak more than his words.
According to Dr. Rajan Tajhya, “A lot of people do not know that they are falling prey to scams like these every day. Weight loss pills, height gain drinks, and tattoo removal cream all fall in the same category. They make promises that have no medical base. In short, no chemical, pill, or cream has been known to man that can remove tattoos that are ingrained deep inside the skin. As of now, laser tattoo removal is the most effective procedure.”
There is no fixed price quotation for tattoo removal. It depends on the size and complexity of the tattoo.
Simpler, smaller tattoos might need fewer sessions while larger, complex tattoo art might need more sessions.
